The project is led by Dr Kyungeun Sung (kyungeun.sung@dmu.ac.uk) who is an established researcher in creative design, service innovation, and sustainable systems, with extensive experience in leading interdisciplinary design research projects. Her expertise in participatory design and sustainability-driven innovation provides a strong methodological foundation for the project. She also brings direct supervisory experience relevant to this project, having supervised Yi Zhong’s PhD research on “Service Design for Intercultural Adaptation: Strategies for UK universities to support international students”.
The Co-Investigator, Dr Yi Zhong (p2676736@my365.dmu.ac.uk), has recently passed her PhD viva at DMU, with her research focusing on service design strategies to support international students’ intercultural adaptation. Her doctoral research directly informs this project’s conceptual framing and methodological approach. Yi contributes first-hand insight into international PGT student experience and extensive expertise in qualitative, co-creation, and participatory design methods.
